TAKS RATINGS
The TEA has just announced Westlake Academy’s 2010 TAKS Test results and they are here for your review and information. For the third consecutive year Westlake Academy has been rated exemplary by the TEA. While there are other metrics that we use in addition to the TAKS Test to measure our school’s success as it relates to student achievement, we are proud of these results and the effort our faculty and students invested to achieve them.
2010- Exemplary: 2010 TAKS Rating Report from TEA
Since 2004, Westlake Academy has received the following ratings for its TAKS scores:
2004- Exemplary
2005- Recognized
2006- Recognized
2007- Recognized
2008- Exemplary
2009- Exemplary
The Academy is especially pleased as it does not teach specifically to the tests, due to our belief in the IB programmes which the school was founded on. However, we are also conscious and proud of our place in Texas, so to be recognized as an Exemplary school is one that everybody in the Academy should take pride in.
